All ghouls and goblins of Parkland are invited to join in and show off their creepiest, most creative scarecrow designs at the City of Parkland’s Scarecrow Decorating Contest.
Beginning on October 1, participants can pick up their scarecrow skeleton at the Quigley Tennis Center or P-Rec, which will serve as the base for their scarecrow masterpiece. Scarecrow frames are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Submissions will be accepted until Thursday, October 17 at the Parkland Equestrian Center.
All scarecrows entered into the contest will be displayed at the city’s annual Halloween Festival, where attendees can admire the designs crafted by the community. The best-decorated scarecrows will be selected, and winners will be announced during the festival.
