A new Planet Fitness is coming to the Coral Springs-Parkland area.

The gym is expected to open this December at 9535 Westview Drive in the Magnolia Shoppes. While technically located in Coral Springs, Planet Fitness Parkland takes the space currently occupied by YouFit gym, which closes on Oct. 25.

Planet Fitness will completely gut, rebuild, and equip the new facility for a total investment of $2.8 million, the company said.

The fitness center will offer state-of-the-art cardio machines and strength equipment, the Planet Fitness 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with lockers and showers, numerous flat-screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, and tanning beds.

“Planet Fitness believes fitness is essential to our physical and mental health, and we are thrilled to invest in the Parkland facility and bring our Judgement Free Zone to the community,” said Victor Brick, co-owner of PF Growth Partners, a franchise division of Planet Fitness. “We are confident our non-intimidating fitness experience will be appreciated by all fitness levels, including those who want to join a gym for the first time.”

As an introductory special, gym-goers can join Planet Fitness Parkland with no commitment for 25 cents down, then $10 a month with Planet Fitness’ Classic membership.

A PF Black Card membership will be $24.99 a month and allow members to bring a guest every day at no additional charge, access to all Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states, and access to massage beds, chairs, and tanning beds.

Registration will open online on Oct. 26 at planetfitness.com/gyms/parkland-fl.
