SOS Children’s Villages Florida, a dedicated foster care community based in Coconut Creek, is gearing up for its annual “White Ball” fundraiser.
Held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the evening promises a blend of glamour and philanthropy.
The event sold out in 2022 and aims to raise $565,000 this year. This significant contribution will support SOS children with essential programs and services.
With an annual operating budget of $4.2 million, half funded by Florida, fundraisers like “The White Ball” are vital in bridging the $2.2 million gap required to run this comprehensive program.
Dawn Seay, Chief Development Officer for SOS Children’s Villages Florida, emphasized the event’s significance. “This event is more than just a gala; it’s a lifeline for the children we serve.”
Event co-chairs Sheri and Famous Rhodes, along with Jennifer and Marc Bell of Parkland, extend their invitation to this transformational evening.
“The collective power of our community, channeled towards uplifting these children, is a remarkable spectacle,” said Sheri. Jennifer added that each ‘White Ball’ event isn’t just a moment in time; it serves as a catalyst, making tangible contributions towards a brighter, more promising future.
