Attention parents and guardians looking for a fun and engaging way to keep your kids entertained during Spring Break. Enroll them in Spitfire Farm’s Horse Camp, located in Coconut Creek.
This premier equestrian facility, owned by Ejola and Paul Cook, houses 36 horses on 5 acres and is the perfect place for your child to spend their Spring Break.
Ejola, a corporate attorney and former competitive rider, knows all too well the struggle to find activities that keep children occupied without relying on electronics. That’s why she decided to create Spitfire Farm’s Horse Camp, to allow children to get out in the fresh air and explore the world around them.
Children will learn the ins and outs of running a farm and caring for horses at the camp. They will also get to participate in scavenger hunts, play tag, take nature walks, and engage in various other fun activities. With five acres of space to roam, as well as an air-conditioned clubhouse, campers have endless opportunities to enjoy themselves.
The farm is home to horses of varying levels and experiences, including rescues and advanced competitors, each with its own unique story. The Cooks keep the camp reasonably small, placing children into groups based on age and skill level. This ensures that each child gets a hands-on experience with the horses, regardless of their prior experience.
One of the few farms in Coconut Creek where horses can be ridden into Tradewinds Park, campers can enjoy the miles of equestrian trails on field trips. Additionally, scheduled arts and crafts, water play days, and guest speakers who teach different aspects of horse care are just some of the other exciting activities on offer.
Spitfire Farm’s Spring Break Horse Camp runs through March 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with before-care starting at 8:00 a.m. and aftercare until 5:30 p.m.
The cost is $95 per day or $475 for the week. Before/after care is $5 per hour, and parents will need to pack lunch and water bottles/Gatorade. Snacks will be provided.
Reserve a spot now by calling 954-903-1772. Spitfire Farm is located at 4201 Vinkmulder Road in Coconut Creek.
