Parkland residents can enhance their pickleball skills with the upcoming clinics presented by the Volley Zone Pickleball Academy.
The Volley Zone Pickleball Academy will hold three pickleball clinics on Saturday, July 22, at Terramar Park, located at 6700 West Hillsboro Boulevard, each designed to provide participants of all skill levels with a comprehensive training experience.
The three sessions will be led by instructors Wilson Bogarin, Erica Bogarin, and Ernesto Figueroa from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Sessions include beginners to level 3.5, with a fundamental techniques clinic designed for players with a skill level ranging from 2.0 to 2.5, which provides instruction on proper grip, positioning, footwork, basic shots, and developing consistency and control.
The fundamental techniques session and the beginner’s introduction promise to lay a strong foundation for players new to the game or looking to refine their skills.
The more advanced “tactical awareness” session targets intermediate to advanced players with a skill level ranging from 3.0 to 3.5.
In this advanced session, attendees will delve deeper into the strategic aspects of the game, focusing on shot placement, court positioning, shot selection, and exploiting opponents’ weaknesses.
This session is ideal for competitive players looking to take their pickleball game to the next level, specifically in preparation for tournaments.
Registration for Parkland residents is priced at $68 per session. Non-residents can also join the clinics for $85 per session.
All registration fees include refreshments from event organizers in collaboration with RE/MAX Realtor Tracy Hibshman.
Interested individuals can visit the P-REC or Quigley Tennis Center to secure a spot, scan the code directly on the academy’s website, or register at rb.gy/wy6aq.
