Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through February 22, 2021.
Abandoned Vehicle
6400 NW 80th Ter – Pine Tree Estates
On February 17, a motorist flagged down BSO about a car almost hitting his vehicle. The vehicle was found not long after on NW 80th Ter abandoned with front end damage and flat front tires. An area check for the driver was conducted, and no one nearby could be found. The vehicle was not reported stolen, and an inventory of the vehicle was conducted before it was towed out of the middle of the road. A Florida driver’s license was found, and Coconut Creek Police attempted contact, resulting in negative results with the possible owner.
Animal Bite
5900 block of NW 63rd Way – Pine Tree Estates
On February 18, the caller’s dog was bitten by a neighbors dog on February 3. Caller requested BSO talk to the neighbor about keeping his dog confined.
Assisting Other Agency
5741 Coral Ridge Dr
On February 16, BSO Parkland Assisted Coral Springs Police with taking a burglary vehicle suspect into custody. The suspect was Baker Acted by CSPD.
Domestic Disturbance
5850 block of Holmberg Rd – Bell Parkland
On February 20, an argument over a gold chain and pending custody case. Reporting person requested documentation for court purposes.
Fraud
10500 block of NW 65th Dr – Fox Ridge
On February 20, the victim received a phone call from an unknown male, requesting him to move his liquid assets into secure accounts. The victim made three wire transfers to several accounts. In total, the victim transferred $45,000 from his CHASE account and $17,500 from his HSBC account.

12000 block of Lake Trail Ln – Parkland Bay
On February 16, a Ring Pro doorbell was missing from the front entrance of a Lennar home under construction.
9413 Aston Gardens Court – Aston Gardens
On February 16, the caller reported that a 92-year-old person passed away at the Trust Bridge Hospice facility in Boca Raton. They returned to Aston Gardens, where they both were let in the unit by the housekeeping supervisor. The caller reported an unnamed person took two suitcases of fur coats, other clothing, several jewelry items, and medications from the unit at that time before the deceased’s will was read.
12000 block of N Baypoint Cir – Parkland Bay
On February 16, BSO was dispatched to the listed location about a suspicious person looking into parked vehicles. A subject matching the description was detained on the scene. An investigation found that the residence at this location was his sister’s home and that he was there to pick up a vehicle that he co-owns with his father, who refused to release the vehicle to his son due to his ongoing drug problems. All parties were advised that this is a civil matter. The son was trespass warned from the property at his sister’s request.
Trespassing
8700 block of E Baypoint Cir – Parkland Bay
On February 17, a pool contractor entered the victim’s backyard without permission. He was seen on a Ring camera looking around and then leaving. The victim signed a waiver of prosecution.
Arrests
Kallenberg, Gordon Paul (W M, 77) was arrested on charges of Battery-cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence at the 10400 block of NW 65th Dr, Parkland, on 02/18/2021.
