Parents have an opportunity to hear from principals and local leaders at an event hosted by the Parkland Chamber of Commerce.
The back-to-school panel discussion includes Interim Broward County School Board Superintendent Dr. Vickie Cartwright, a welcome address from Mayor Rich Walker, and updates from Broward School Board member Lori Alhadeff.
Rounding out the panel are Parkland principals from Heron Heights, Park Trails and Riverglades Elementary, Westglades Middle School, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Mary Help of Christians, and Somerset Parkland Academy.
There is no fee to attend; however, advanced registration is required.
The discussion takes place on Monday, August 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and will be recorded for those who cannot attend.
Questions for the panelists should be emailed in advance with a note for whom they are intended to cindy@parklandchamber.org.
