Clayton Cannon Jr. participated for MSD after setting the single-season rushing record for the Eagles. He passed Orville Reynolds for the record after rushing for 1,594 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also added 119 receiving yards to help MSD win eight games, including their first postseason victory since 2007.
Defensively, MSD had three players selected, including their team leader in tackles, Gabriel Lenamon, who had 115. Tucker Jean was also picked after leading the team with 10.5 sacks, while Justin Valentin shined with 30 tackles, seven going for a loss.
All four plan on playing football in college. Despite not committing, they had visits with college teams.
“It’s just great for the program and a great opportunity for these guys to showcase their talents,” said Head Coach Quentin Short. “I am very proud of all of them.”
