Everett AquaSox
Marjory Stoneman Douglas graduate Hunter Fitz-Gerald recorded a milestone on April 10, hitting his first home run with the Everett AquaSox.
A 2021 graduate and son of Marjory Stoneman Douglas head coach Todd Fitz-Gerald, Hunter homered in the eighth inning to cut their deficit to four. This was also his second career minor league home run after hitting one last year in rookie ball.
Hunter shined while with MSD, hitting 11 home runs and driving in 55 runs. He went on to begin his college career at Florida Southwestern and then finished at Old Dominion University as one of the most powerful bats in the country. Despite not getting drafted during the summer, Hunter signed with the Seattle Mariners and has played in six minor league games this season.
