Congregation Kol Tikvah has created an ongoing mitzvah project helping families in need of food.
All donations benefit Hope South Florida, which provides emergency shelter, housing assistance, and support services to thousands of homeless families, many of whom depend on free school breakfasts or lunch during the year.
Congregation Kol Tikvah is requesting specific items to are donated. Participants should pack each sandwich in a brown lunch bag with chips, fruit, a sweet, a napkin, a small bottle of water, and a kind note.
They also need canned goods (no glass), bottled water, and gently used men’s pants.
Bags should be dropped off in front of the sanctuary doors at 6750 North University Drive, on Monday, September 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
