The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Drama Club has announced its latest theatrical venture, “Mean Girls The Musical: High School Edition”.
Crafted by the SNL-alum and Hollywood actress Tina Fey, the Douglas Drama is set to bring the script to life on the school’s stage this March.
The show, a musical adaptation of the 2004 film “Mean Girls,” is set in fictional North Shore High, where friendship, popularity, and personal growth unfold humorously but, more importantly, entertainingly.
Douglas Drama will perform the play from March 6 through March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the school auditorium. Tickets are priced at $15. Contact MSDdramaBooster@gmail.com for more information.
Douglas Drama Publicity Editorial Officer Oliver Paul tells Parkland Talk the following students will play the cast:
- Cady: Angelina Kennedy
- Janis: Ella Valente
- Damian: Oliver Paul
- Regina: Alanis DeSouza
- Karen: Sydney Lotz
- Gretchen: Zoe Schwartzberg
- Aaron: Nick Lemus
In addition to the show, Douglas Drama also offers a professional Anti-Bullying PSA video featuring the lead cast members. This initiative highlights the department’s commitment to addressing social issues and fostering a positive community spirit.
