Incidents
Death Investigation
A death investigation was conducted at an undisclosed location in Parkland on Aug. 25. No additional details were provided.
Domestic Disturbance
Deputies responded to an undisclosed location in Parkland on Aug. 25 regarding a verbal dispute. Investigators found no evidence of physical violence and determined that no crime had occurred.
Deputies investigated a domestic disturbance involving a couple at an undisclosed location on Aug. 28. Due to conflicting statements, a lack of physical evidence and no visible injuries, deputies determined that no crime had occurred. Both parties agreed to separate for the night.
Information
An information report was completed on Aug. 25 regarding an inappropriate social media post involving a juvenile.
A report was completed on Aug. 25 regarding an incident that occurred off school grounds the previous day.
Deputies documented a civil dispute involving a residential matter on Aug. 27.
AirPods left in an Uber were returned to their owner on Aug. 27. The person who had the AirPods believed they were an identical pair belonging to her. Deputies determined the incident was a misunderstanding with no intent to steal.
An information report involving a juvenile was completed on Aug. 28. No additional details were provided.
Theft
A victim reported $700 in cash stolen from a wallet at BJ’s Wholesale Club in Parkland on Aug. 25. An unidentified customer returned the wallet, but the cash was missing.
A watch valued at approximately $10,000 was stolen at an undisclosed location in Parkland on Aug. 27. According to the report, the suspect paid for the watch with counterfeit money before fleeing in a black Genesis.
Battery
A domestic battery that reportedly occurred at an undisclosed location in Parkland on June 13 was reported Aug. 26. The suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
Baker Act
Deputies responded to an undisclosed location in Parkland on Aug. 26 and transported a person to a medical facility for evaluation under the Baker Act.
Trespassing
Deputies investigated a trespassing incident at an undisclosed location in Parkland on Aug. 28. An arrest was made for allegedly trespassing on school grounds.
Arrests
Muriel Kaplan, 42, was arrested Aug. 26 on a charge of domestic battery by touch or strike.
Sanoly Soneddy, 26, was arrested Aug. 28 on a charge of trespassing on school grounds.
