Calling all dance enthusiasts, your talents are summoned for a good cause.
In support of the local Children’s Miracle Network, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will host its annual Dance Marathon on Saturday, March 16.
Set to take place inside the gym, the marathon will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration and check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Positioned as a six-hour dance marathon that promises to push the limits of attendees, the event is thought to symbolize and honor the tireless 12-hour shifts of nurses who dedicate themselves to saving lives.
As part of the fun, each hour of the Dance Marathon will feature a new theme, inviting participants to dress up.
The lineup also features a variety of games for some friendly competition, guest speakers, and food options.
In support of the Children’s Miracle Network, a silent auction will allow attendees to snag some fantastic finds while contributing to a vital cause.
Registration for the event is $20, which includes a commemorative t-shirt. Participants are encouraged to sign up through this link to ensure their spot in the marathon.
