Marjory Stoneman Douglas cheerleading team competed in the Medium Non-Tumbling Division for the first time on Saturday at the BCAA Championship at Dillard High School.
Despite not placing in the top three against Flanagan, Cooper City, South Plantation, Coconut Creek, West Broward, and Blanche Ely High School, Head Coach Patti Thompson still said it has been a great team to coach.
“It is an honor and privilege for each of us to have the opportunity to coach this year’s team,” said Thompson.
The team consists of Bianca Barrionuevo, Taylor Bretz, Annie Cappola, Isabella Ceballos, Anabelle Civalero, Cayley Clemo, Ashley Fronstin, Kiera Haley, Savannah Jean Madi Mackenzie, Kylie Messmer, Lawrence Morantus, Makenna Mouttet, Annabelle Niddam, Ella Reiss, Kelly Salazar, Sammy Santo, Cami Shavelson, Justin Spano, Estella Stencel, Faith Weiss, Maddi Winnick, and Sydney Wolfman as well as assistant coaches Ashley Marinello and Rylee Thompson.
Next, the Eagles will look to repeat as Regional Champions on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Coral Glades High School.
