The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls volleyball team started the season with a win in the Preseason Classic Volleyball Tournament on Thursday, recording a pair of wins.
The Eagles won both their matches against Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School and NSU University in two sets after a fantastic season in which they won 14 matches and reached Regionals. Their team this year consists of Camila Marrero, Isabella Cox, Sofia Maresca, Aviyah Henderson, Victoria Llanvaneras, Alyssa James, Lindsay Rogalla, Chloe Siqueira, Elle Naqvi, Gracy Fraysure, Addison Walker, Mia Horta, Mia Espino, and Lily Ledbetter.
MSD will open the regular season with a matchup against Western on Tuesday, August 20, at 5:30 p.m. The Wildcats went 16-8 last season and beat the Eagles in both their matchups.
