Before students head back to school, they have the opportunity to meet their school resource officers at a special Parkland Night Out event.
Held on Monday, August 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., parents and children can meet SROs, members of the Broward Sheriff’s Office, and learn about programs and activities offered at the Parkland Recreation and Enrichment Center.
“So many families move to Parkland for our amazing schools, and this is a chance for every one of them to meet their School Resource Officer for the upcoming school year,” said Mayor Rich Walker.
As part of the nationwide event called National Night Out, this one, presented by BSO and the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, will include emergency vehicle displays, music, food, and more.
“It’s a great educational event, and it’s a lot of fun,” said Walker.
Pine Trails Park is located at 10555 Trails End.
