Anabella Puccio, the quarterback for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School girls’ flag football team, is looking forward to the upcoming season.
“We have a great team, and I believe we can win all our games and go to the state championship. We have a lot of talent, and we are playing well,” said Puccio.
Alina Caravella, who plays outside linebacker, is also optimistic. “It is important to play well as a team, and we are doing that. We have a good team,” she said.
Coach Christian Baldwin really believes in the Eagles flag football team. “We can compete with anyone, and I believe we will have an undefeated season and go to the state championship,” he said.
The Eagles will open the season at Nova High on February 18 at 6:00 p.m. They will compete in a large inaugural flag football tournament at Pompano Beach High on February 21.
