The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between February 17 and 23, 2026.
Information Reports
Grooming Injury Complaint – Feb. 17
A resident reported that after using a mobile pet grooming service, her Great Dane appeared to have a paw injury that was not present before the appointment. The dog was taken to Coral Springs Animal Hospital for evaluation.
Bank Transfer Error – Feb. 17
An adult female reported accidentally transferring funds from her bank account to her trading account.
Medical Call – Feb. 19
Deputies responded to a medical call involving a fourth-grade student.
Custody Dispute – Feb. 20
A father reported a custody issue at Westglades Middle School after the child’s mother picked up their son and allegedly failed to respond to communication.
Recreation League Injury – Feb. 22
An 11-year-old boy was evaluated by rescue personnel at Pine Trails Park following an accidental collision during a rec league game. He was not transported.
Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal)
Feb. 17: Deputies responded to a verbal domestic disturbance involving a married couple arguing over suspected infidelity. Both parties stated the incident was verbal only, and no threats or physical harm occurred.
Feb. 22: A woman reported her boyfriend threatened to change the locks and move her belongings following an argument. No physical altercation occurred.
Feb. 22: Deputies responded to another verbal domestic dispute between the parents of a child. The caller left the residence without incident. No crime occurred.
Suspicious Incidents
Feb. 20 – Gate Entry & Gold Bar Investigation:
A man entered a gated community claiming to deliver a package. After a FedEx package was delivered, he returned and asked the homeowner for it. The package, addressed to the homeowner, contained a 100-gram gold bar valued at $17,299.66. The item was taken into evidence. No confirmed victim at this time; the case is being investigated as possible fraud.
Feb. 20 – Alleged Stalking/Harassment:
A resident reported that a driver involved in a prior reckless driving incident may have followed him months later and photographed him outside his home. The incident was classified as suspicious.
Theft & Property Crimes
Delayed Theft Reported – Feb. 17:
Five Rain Bird irrigation computer cards were reported stolen from irrigation boxes in the Parkland Bay community. The theft occurred in May 2024 and was reported for insurance purposes. Estimated loss: $4,264.
Mail Theft – Feb. 22:
An unknown male riding an electric scooter removed mail from residential mailboxes. Surveillance footage captured the suspect. Estimated loss: $50.
Criminal Mischief – Feb. 20-21:
An unknown suspect damaged a bathroom stall at 6700 W. Hillsboro Blvd., causing approximately $100 in damage to city property.
Animal Bite
Feb. 20:
A woman reported she was bitten twice on the left calf by a small white mixed-breed dog while walking to a dog park. She was treated at a hospital. The dog, which was reportedly vaccinated, was placed on home quarantine. The owner indicated there had been prior biting incidents.
Battery
Domestic Battery – Reported Feb. 22:
A woman reported that her husband pushed her against a wall against her will during a domestic incident. The case is under investigation.
Missing Person
Feb. 22:
Deputies responded to a call initially classified as a suicide threat, later determined to be a missing person case. A woman reported her husband made statements that appeared suicidal and had not been seen since earlier that morning.
