Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through May 1, 2023.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 63rd Way was reported on 04/26/2023. The victim said an unknown suspect had attempted to steal his 2020 Ford Raptor from his driveway. The suspect tried deactivating the tracking system, but the vehicle became disabled.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 62 Way was reported on 04/28/2023. The victim said his 2017 Ford Raptor was missing from his driveway. The missing items included a drone and numerous autographed pictures of his son, a professional baseball player. The total estimated loss was: $6,000.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 62 Court was reported on 05/01/2023. The total estimated loss was: $300. Victim`s Black 2021 BMW 540I Series Sedan was stolen from the owner`s driveway. The key fob was left in the vehicle overnight. BMW Assist was able to provide the GPS location of the car. BAT was informed and located the vehicle in Lauderhill, and six offenders were apprehended.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 63 Way was reported on 04/30/2023. The total estimated loss was: $2,200. The suspect(s) entered three (3) of the victim’s unlocked vehicles in the driveway. The key fob and $700 in cash were taken from the 2019 Porsche Cayenne. The key fob and $500 were taken from the 2015 Porsche Cayenne.
Threat Assessment Report
Threat Assessment Report on Nob Hill Road was reported on 04/27/2023. A student made a verbal statement to classmates asking if they wanted one of the students “Dead and buried in a hole.”
Burglary Residence
A victim of Burglary Residence on Vista Terrace was reported on 04/28/2023. The victim alleged that two unknown males attempted to enter an unlocked back door that leads into the residence home. The homeowner was able to scare them off, and they fled westbound.
Fraud – All Other
A victim of Fraud – All Other on W Miralago Way was reported on 04/25/2023. The victim reported that someone attempted to deposit two fraudulent checks written on the account. The receiving bank denied the checks, and a fraud alert was issued.
