Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through August 23, 2021.
Domestic Disturbance
NW 69th Way
On Aug. 17, deputies responded in reference to a possible domestic disturbance called in by a third party, not on the scene. One of the parties agreed to leave the residence for the night and did so.
Fraud
On Aug. 19, a 55-year-old male victim reported that his identity was used last year, without his knowledge or consent, and that the fraudulent account went to collections. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,948.
Information
NW 68th Pl.
On Aug. 18, a female subject wanted to make a report documenting someone violating her protection order.
Property Damage
Trails End
On Aug. 20, a victim reported damage to a chain-link fence. The report was required to initiate a work order for Broward County School Board.
Theft
Hillsboro Blvd.
On Aug. 18, deputies responded to a delayed report of theft. Tot. Est. Loss: $326.
Baypoint Cir.
On Aug. 18, a victim reported the theft of 12 rolls of peeling sticks valued at $1,014, stolen off the roof of a new construction home. Construction home unlocked, with workers present daily.
N. State Rd. 7
On Aug. 19, a 44-year-old female victim reported the theft of a wallet that happened on or about July 4. Lost in the theft was a Coach women’s wallet which contained $40 along with a debit card, Social Security card, and Florida driver’s license. Tot. Est. Loss: $165.
Spyglass Ave.
On Aug. 20, a 51-year-old male victim reported the theft of a matte gray Parlee Chebacco bicycle with neon orange accents, after-market road tires, and an after-market Garmin Edge GPS. The bicycle was stolen from the victim’s driveway. Tot. Est. Loss: $7,000.
Arrests
An unidentified 19-year-old male was arrested on charges of Fraud-Obtain Merch Money W/False Receipt on Hillsboro Blvd on Aug. 18.
