Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through April 10, 2023.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft on Aston Gardens Court was reported on 04/04/2023. Coral Springs Parkland Fire Department responded to a single-car crash on 411 near the Sawgrass Exit. No occupants were found. The vehicle was registered to a resident who did not permit anyone to use her car.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on Hillsboro Blvd just west of the intersection at Parkside Drive. The victim’s 2022 green Subaru Forester was stolen from the roadside of Hillsboro Blvd. It was parked on the south shoulder while the owner went fishing. When exiting his vehicle, the owner believed the key was on his person and that he had locked it. He heard honking, which he thought was related to the nearby intersection, but it was, in fact, his vehicle. The key was not in the owner’s possession at the time of the theft. The car was equipped with tracking capabilities. Detectives from the Burglary Apprehension Team were notified and briefed.
Theft – Retail / Shoplifting
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on University Drive was reported on 04/07/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,172. The victim advised an unknown male stole alcoholic beverages by placing them in a tote-style black and white bag. The unknown subject walked out with merchandise, returned minutes later, and stole some more in the same manner.
Burglary Residence
A victim of a Burglary Residence on Holmberg Road was reported on 04/10/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,050. The victim advised unknown suspect(s) cut the screen covering their rear patio and stole her 16-year-old son’s Cannondale F-Si 29 Carbon Team Mountain Bike, valued at $3,000, stored in the screened lanai. Two Wilson tennis racquets valued at $50 each were also taken. Further, the victim noticed the lock to the sliding glass door of the patio leading into the main apartment was broken and appeared to be tampered with.
Information
Information on NW 62 Court on 04/05/2023 was reported on 04/05/2023. The victim alleged she gave her daughter some jewelry for safekeeping until she moved, and now her daughter won’t give them back.

No arrests were reported.
