Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through February 21, 2022.
Fraud – All Other
A victim of Fraud – on NW 62 Terrace was reported on 02/16/2023. The reporting person advised that she is a victim of contractor fraud. The victim is reporting that the contractor has taken more than $900,000 in payment for materials and labor, which was never completed.
A victim of Theft on Iron Wood Way was reported on 02/14/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,000. Two boxes of lights were taken from open garages on construction sites.
A victim of Auto Theft on Shenandoah Lane was reported on 02/18/2023. A 2022 Audi A-5 Convertible that was parked in the driveway, the key fob inside the car was stolen overnight.
Arrests
Veloz Gonzalez, Jose Alejandro, 47, was arrested on a charge of Warrant at 8350 Ranch Road on 02/15/2023.
Veloz Gonzalez, Heather Jean, 40, was arrested on a charge of Warrant/Felony Dumping at 8400 Ranch Road on 02/15/2023.
