Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through November 13, 2023.
Burglary
A 47-year-old male was the victim of a Burglary Residence on NW 79 Way on 11/08/2023. The total estimated loss was $30. Deputies responded about an occupied burglary in progress.
Fraud
An 89-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – Credit Card / ATM on N State Road 7 on 11/09/2023. The total estimated loss was $20. The victim advised that he received an alert of a suspicious transaction for $20.17 of gas.
Found Property
Found Property on W Hillsboro Blvd on 11/11/2023. The Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department reported finding a bicycle in the bushes on the southeast side of the parking lot. The bicycle was taken inside the station on 11/06/2023. There have been no reports of a missing/stolen bicycle.
Information
Information on N State Road 7 on 11/11/2023. The reporter advised that three additional phone lines were opened from her cell phone account.
Trespassing
An 80-year-old male was the victim of Trespassing on NW 84 Avenue on 11/12/2023. An adult couple driving through The Ranches observed a property with a barn and wanted to see the horses. The couple entered the property/barn to observe the horses and left without taking or damaging anything. No forced entry was made. The owner of the barn watched the cameras and made a report. The couple was present on the scene upon the officers’ arrival. Both parties were cooperative and negative for warrants/criminal history. The owner lectured the parties on the scene not to enter other people`s property and did not wish to pursue the issue further.
Arrests
Cave, Mark, 63, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 11/09/2023.
