Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through January 29, 2024.


A victim of Fraud – All Other on 01/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,040. An adult female reported that she hired Affordable Screen Enclosure on 09/10/2021 to put a screen in an area on her property. She gave the company a $2,040 deposit, and the company never did any of the work.


Information on 01/24/2024. The complainant stated that while getting fuel at the BJ’s gas station, an unknown male began to urinate on the ground at the neighboring gas pump, and some urine splashed off the ground and touched his foot.

Information on 01/25/2024. While shopping, a box fell on a shopper’s head.

Information on 01/27/2024. An email was sent out to numerous Parkland officials, advising them a violent crime was committed at an address in the city. The home was previously flagged for potential swatting calls, with a history of Antisemitic threats. Police made contact with the residents, who were not under duress & were made aware of the email.


A victim of Burglary Conveyance on 01/25/2024. The total estimated loss was $600. An unlocked vehicle was entered, and a 9mm handgun and Beats headphones were removed from the center console.


A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on 01/26/2024. The total estimated loss was $30. A victim advised that he parked his trailer, and upon returning, he noticed his trailer’s license plate had been stolen.

A victim of Theft – All Other on 01/29/2024. The total estimated loss was $81. A postal courier delivered a package and several pieces of mail to the victim’s mailbox within her apartment complex. The victim said she did not receive a package from Victoria’s Secret that was supposedly delivered to her mailbox.


Regalado, Jean, Carlos, 41, was arrested on a Failure To Stop And Remain Accident Involved Non-Serious Injury charge on 01/26/2024.
