Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through February 27, 2023.
A 58-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on Trails End. The theft was reported on 02/25/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,600. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim`s rear driver-side window by smashing the window and removing a purse from the floorboard. The purse contained several debit/credit cards.
A 44-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on Holmberg Road. The theft was reported on 02/27/2023. The total estimated loss was $4,380. Victims reported their 2016 Mercedes and Toyota Highlander were burglarized. Unknown suspect(s) entered unlocked vehicles and removed an iPad, Laptop, Miscellaneous tools, luggage, and sneakers totaling $4,380.
Arrests
Swanson, Justin Charles, 32, was arrested on a Fraud-Impersonating-False Id Given To Leo charge at 6650 University Drive on 02/24/2023.
Estep, William Joseph, 54, was arrested on a Fraud-Impersonating-False Id Given To Leo charge at 11299 Nob Hill Rd/W Hillsboro Blvd, on 02/24/2023.
Castagna, Mike Peter, 46, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on NW 128th Lane on 02/26/2023.
