The Florida Supervisors of Elections Association is offering scholarships to Florida college students pursuing careers in public service, business, and journalism.
According to the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office, three scholarships valued at $1,200 each will be awarded in 2026 to eligible students across the state.
To qualify, applicants must be registered Florida voters who have lived in the state for at least two years preceding the election. Students must be majoring in political science, public administration, business administration, or journalism/mass communication and be enrolled or accepted as a junior or senior at an accredited Florida college or university. Applicants must have maintained at least a “C” average during the previous school year and demonstrate financial need.
Applications and full eligibility requirements are available online at BrowardVotes.gov or at the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 4650 NW 21st Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. The application deadline is March 13, 2026.
“This scholarship program is a great opportunity to support students who are preparing for careers in public service, business, journalism, and leadership,” said Joe Scott, Broward County Supervisor of Elections. “We encourage all eligible students to apply.”
Applications must be submitted to the elections office in the county where the applicant is registered to vote. Each county will select one finalist to forward to the association’s scholarship committee for consideration.
