Families with children entering kindergarten at Riverglades Elementary School are invited to kick off the new school year with a second special meetup designed to help students make friends before the first day of class.
The Riverglades Elementary Kindergarten Meetup will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at Terramar Park.
The event is open to all incoming Riverglades kindergartners and their families. Families can enjoy a morning at the park while children play together, build new friendships and connect with other Riverglades families before classes begin.
According to the event announcement, the meetup is designed to help incoming kindergartners meet future classmates, build new friendships through play, connect Riverglades families, and ease first-day-of-school jitters before the school year begins.
