The reigning three-time State and National Champions are back and competed in their first preseason game on Tuesday night.
Coming off an undefeated season, Marjory Stoneman Douglas baseball beat West Broward High School 4-3 and will play one more game exhibition game on Thursday against West Boca Raton Community High School. Devin Fitz-Gerald hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the fifth inning.
” I just want to see what some young guys can do,” Head Coach Todd Fitz-Gerld said. “It’s just an opportunity to play someone else and hit the ground running. we showed some toughness tonight. Proud of the guys.”
MSD will start the regular season on Tuesday, February 20, against Westminster Academy at 7 p.m. The Lions went 18-10 last year and lost 9-1 in the last meeting between these two teams in 2021.
