Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through February 15, 2021.
Auto Theft
9300 block of NW 62nd Ct – Grand Cypress
On February 13, the victim advised that both of his BMWs were stolen from his driveway overnight. Both fobs were in the cars. Both were factory stock vehicles with no identifiable features. An area canvas had negative results. No tracking system available.
Battery
7200 block of NW 61st Ter
On February 10, the victim states Jason Khaleel stayed over at the address listed above the previous night, and when the victim asked Khaleel to leave her home, he struck her with a closed fist and poured wine over her face. Khaleel was subsequently arrested for dating violence.
Burglary Conveyance
8900 block of Parkland Bay Dr. Parkland Bay
On February 12, the victim alleged an unknown person entered his black BMW 740i and stole his wallet containing misc gift cards, multiple credit cards, FL DL, FL voter registration card, and a BMW key fob. The vehicle was unlocked. The area was canvassed, and the victim wishes to prosecute.
11900 block of S Baypoint Cir Parkland Bay
On February 12, the victim stated an unknown person entered his vehicle and rummaged through the belongings in his glove box and center console. The victim stated his sunglasses and some spare change were stolen. The vehicle was unlocked at this time. Scene processed with negative results, area canvassing completed.
8700 block of E Baypoint Cir – Parkland Bay
On February 12, the victim stated an unknown person entered his vehicle and rummaged through the belongings in his glove box and center console, and his wallet was missing. The vehicle was unlocked at this time. Scene processed with negative results, area canvassing completed. Tot. Est. Loss: $302.
6800 block of Long Leaf Dr. Parkland Golf & Country Club
On February 11, a delayed burglary conveyance on an unlocked 2019 Lexus SUV was reported. Nothing was taken.
Drugs/Narcotics
7705 N State Road 7
On February 10, BSO deputies responded to Wawa about an unconscious male at the outside tables. Upon arrival, they contacted Brandon Sandy and observed an off-white rock-like substance and a plastic tube in front of him. The substance was then field-tested positive for opiates. Brandon Sandy was then placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia and trespassed from the property.
Information
8400 block of Lakeview Tr – Town Parc
On February 14, BSO deputies were called to the listed address about two juveniles making entry into a vacant property for sale. Investigation revealed that the property owner allowed the two juveniles to be there.
Trespassing
7900 block of NW 82nd Ter
On February 13, Aaron Byron was arrested for unoccupied trespassing to a structure at the listed address. Byron used the residence for living purposes without an invitation from the homeowner and was arrested on site.
Arrests
Khaleel, Jason Robert (W M, 40) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/dating Viol at 7200 block of NW 61st Ter, Parkland, on 02/10/2021.
Sandy, Brandon Kobe (B M, 22) was arrested on charges of Drugs-possession Of Controlled Substances at 7705 N State Road 7, Parkland, on 02/10/2021.
Byron, Aaron Kirkland (W M, 22) was arrested on charges of Trespassing-structure Or Conveyance at 7900 block of NW 82nd Ter, Parkland, on 02/13/2021.
