December 14, 2024
Domestic Violence: At approximately 8:30 PM, a juvenile female threw a metal water bottle and scissors during an argument, striking a male victim. The suspect was arrested.
December 17, 2024
Baker Act: At 1:30 PM, a student was Baker Acted and taken to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center from Westglades.
Incident Report: At 9:40 PM, a juvenile male with Autism Spectrum Disorder had an episode involving property damage in his home. No injuries were reported.
December 18, 2024
Information Report: At 11:33 AM, an Instagram account posing as a talent scout contacted a minor, requesting revealing poses during a video call. The incident was reported by the minor’s mother.
December 19, 2024
Residential Burglary: At approximately 11:35 AM, a memory card was stolen from a residence. Surveillance footage captured the incident. Estimated loss: $30.
Baker Act: At 4:49 PM, an adult male behaving sporadically was Baker Acted.
Property Damage: At 11:49 PM, deputies responding to a burglary drove over a damaged gate barrier in Tern Bridge Community.
Property Damage: At 11:01 PM, a driver reversing a vehicle hit a street pole in Lakes at Parkland.
December 20, 2024
Suspicious Activity: At 12:26 AM, an alert revealed an unknown individual fishing in a residential community.
Restraining Order Violation: At 11:00 AM, a woman reported her ex-boyfriend driving by her residence. Video evidence was inconclusive.
Email Fraud Attempt: A resident discovered a hacked email attempting to redirect funds during a property closing. No funds were lost.
Property Damage: At 8:53 PM, a fire truck exiting Cypresshead Community was struck by a closing gate.
December 21, 2024
Dog Attack: At 9:30 AM, an off-leash black dog attacked a Pomeranian, causing the owner to fall and sustain minor injuries.
December 22, 2024
Residential Fire: At 3:25 PM, a fluorescent light strip exploded in a master bedroom closet, causing minor fire damage to the ceiling.
