It had been a tough regular season for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls volleyball team, but the Eagles started their playoff run with a win in the District Tournament.
MSD defeated Deerfield Beach High School Monday night 25-15, 25,10, 25-17 for their fourth victory of the season at a game played at Coral Glades High School.
Up next, the Eagles will face Coral Glades in the District Semifinals after losing to them for the first time in school history on September 22.
The match starts on Tuesday, October 19 at 4:30 p.m., with the winner playing either J.P. Taravella or West Boca Raton Community High School Thursday night in the final.
