Arlan Hallman {BSO}
A man has been arrested and charged with violating a restraining order after repeatedly contacting a woman and her friends, sending them pornographic images he falsely claimed depicted the victim.
According to Margate Police Department records, the man, identified as Arlan Hallman, 58, of Parkland, continued to make repeated unauthorized contact with the victim after a judge set in place a no-contact order on May 28.
The victim informed authorities that Hallman has been constantly reaching out to her through cellphone calls and emails and harassing her and her friends by distributing pornographic images and falsely claiming that she is the person depicted in the photos.
The victim expressed her reluctance to report the contact because she feared retaliation if Hallman was arrested.
On October 7, after months of continued investigation, Hallman was taken into custody and transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
