Established in memory of Gina, a victim of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the Gina Rose Montalto Memorial Foundation has announced a four-year scholarship in her name.
A member of the class of 2021, Gina always took great pride in her education and looked for ways to help others. To help someone affected by the tragedy of February 14, the Montalto family is providing a resilient Parkland shooting survivor with a Class of 2021 Legacy University Scholarship.
Designed to be used at a Florida College or State University, the funds can be applied to other schools nationwide.
Applicants must have been on campus on February 14, 2018, be a graduate from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and have a 3.8 GPA.
Gina’s father, Tony Montalto, said they expect all applicants to learn about who Gina was and what this scholarship stands for.
“The winner should exemplify her kind spirit and love of learning and life.”
For eligibility requirements, visit ginarosemontaltomemorialfoundation.org/2021. Applications must be submitted by April 18, 2021.
