
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Cheerleading Team. {MSD Cheer}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas cheerleading team won a District Title on Saturday, competing in the small non-tumbling division.
The Eagles competed against Monarch, South Broward, Northeast, Plantation, Boyd H Anderson, and Coral Springs High School. The team is coached by Patti Thompson, assisted by Ashley Bravo and Rylee Thompson, and managed by Maci Norkunas.
Their team features Amanda Stone, Ava Fernandez, Ava Paton, Chloe Morris, Drew Siddens, Emily Haas, Emmy Thompson, Gabriella Savastano, Jordan Bretz, Kailey Arteaga, Katelyn Schaffer, Kenley Reda, Kylie Jennings, Layla Tulepan, Lena Fleck, Lexi Merrill, Lexi Verderame, Madison Mann, Makenna Mouttet, RJ Meis, Rylie Brown, Sami Stallings, Solimar Rivera, Solimar Rivera, Stella Dellatto and Syndey Ward.
“We are incredibly proud to bring home the BCAA District Cheerleading Championship in the small non-tumbling division, Thompson said. “This win represents countless hours of hard work, discipline, and teamwork. We are hopeful our streak continues as we carry this momentum into what comes next.”
Next, MSD will compete at the UCA Regionals on Saturday, December 13, before competing in the FHSAA Regionals on January 9.
