Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ Ben Bianchi has officially announced his commitment to the University of Central Florida.
“It was super exciting for me and my family, Bianchi said. “It is such a blessing, and it really showed that all the hard work I’ve put in is paying off, and honestly, it just makes me want to keep pushing even harder.”
Bianchi began playing baseball when he was four and fell in love with the game. He stayed off playing travel ball when he was nine with the Broward Blizzars. He then joins TBT and, for the Original Florida Pokers, credits coaches Von Sterzbach and Todd Fitz-Gerald for helping him succeed at the next level.
At MSD, Bianchi began his freshman year on the junior varsity team and missed the 2025 season due to injury. Still, He says playing at Douglas has made him a better all-around player. For college, Bianchi was looking for a school not too far from home and with a strong pitching program. He quickly felt that UCF checked all the boxes and made the decision.
“The facilities are outstanding, and I loved everything about the campus, Bianchi added. “It just felt like the right fit for me both athletically and academically.”
As Bianchi prepares for his varsity debut as a member of the five-time defending State Champions, he is eager to improve by increasing his velocity and getting stronger in the weight room. Bianchi will be joining a program that competes in the Big 12 and has been to 13 NCAA Tournaments.
