The Marjory Stoneman Douglas football team continued their prep for the new season and played in their first spring game on May 17.
The Eagles lost 48-0 against Somerset Canyons but had several players make their varsity debut. First-year coach Chris Baldwin leads the Eagles, coming off a season where they went 4-7.
They are set to open the fall season on August 23 against Cypress Bay High School on the road. A week later, they will play Cooper City High School in their home opener. They also have games scheduled for Deerfield Beach, Boyd H. Anderson, Boca Raton, Coral Glades, Spanish River, Coral Springs, Coral Springs Charter, and Coconut Creek High School.
