Three children were injured when a golf cart flipped over in Parkland Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Five kids were riding in the golf cart at 5800 Hillsboro Boulevard near State Road 7 around 12:30 p.m. when the vehicle overturned, said Mike Moser, deputy chief of the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department.
One of the children was rushed to Broward General Medical Center as a level 2 trauma patient, meaning the child suffered a serious injury, authorities said.
Two other kids were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, according to Moser.
The remaining two children went home with their parents.
There did not appear to be any other vehicles involved in the accident, authorities said.
Additional information about the incident was not immediately available late Monday afternoon.
