The successful run for former Marjory Stoneman Douglas star Roman Anthoyn continued following his recognition as Rookie of the Month for August.

The 2022 graduate hit six homers, 13 RBI, four doubles, 21 runs scored, and had a .520 slugging percentage. He made history earlier in the month, becoming the youngest player in team history to hit a leadoff home run.

Anthony, who previously signed a contract extension with the Red Sox that can reach up to $240 million, has hit eight home runs and driven in 32 RBIs during his first year in the big leagues. However, he was recently placed on the injured list with an oblique strain and is expected to miss four to six weeks, according to his manager, Alex Cora.
