Information
Aug. 26 — A woman tripped and fell while walking at Terremar Park (6700 W. Hillsboro Blvd.) and was transported to West Boca Medical Center with a possible broken arm.
Aug. 29 — A subject showed up uninvited at a resident’s home but made no threats.
Aug. 29 — A 7-year-old was tricked by friends into tasting hand sanitizer. Fire Rescue responded, and the child was deemed safe.
Aug. 30 — Deputies responded to a noise complaint. Sound levels were determined to be under 60 decibels.
Sept. 1 — An 80-year-old woman visiting from Ohio, who has dementia, became lost and knocked on a stranger’s door, believing she lived there. She was safely reunited with her sister.
Criminal Mischief
Aug. 22–24 — A phone junction box at Parkland Bay was vandalized with spray paint.
Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal)
Aug. 27 — A woman reported that her husband took her Cadillac Escalade against her wishes while they were picking up groceries with their children. No argument or physical contact occurred.
Aug. 28 — An ex-boyfriend kicked in a bedroom door after his ex-girlfriend changed the locks. She later left the home to avoid further disputes.
Sept. 1 — A 20-year-old woman had a verbal argument with her father about living at home and leaving with a family cat and computer. She left with her roommates, leaving the items behind.
Property Damage
Aug. 27 — A rear wall at Publix (8095 University Dr.) was damaged by a waste company while picking up a dumpster.
Found Property
Aug. 28 — A purple bicycle was found abandoned on the grass along Riverside Dr. and recovered for safekeeping.
Baker Act
Aug. 29 — Deputies responded to a woman throwing construction barrels into the road. She was transported for evaluation under the Baker Act.
Threats / Intimidation
Aug. 27–29 — A resident reported receiving threatening text messages from a man to whom he had previously loaned money, including statements like “Ima coming guns blazing.”
Theft
Aug. 29 — Staff at Keke’s Breakfast Café (7609 N. State Rd. 7) reported a missing Robot Coupe CL50E food processor, valued at $2,100, stolen during a pallet delivery.
