Marjory Stoneman Douglas football JV football finishes the season with a great victory. The Eagles defeated Coral Glades 23-2 Wednesday night.
“We played a complete game on all three phases, and we were able to play every kid tonight,” Coach Rodriguez said.
Brooks Sasser had a safety while Ryan Ebersberger returned an interception for a touchdown. Ben McCullars had a 45-yard score, and Andres Castro recorded a five-yard touchdown run.
The Jaguars finished the season 0-3-1 and had their best game come on October 2 against Plantation High School, when they scored three first-half touchdowns. Their lone score against the Eagles came on a safety, and the Jaguars scored only eight points in their last three games after 34 through their first two games.
Both teams will likely have several players move up to the varsity team and return some freshmen and a new group of kids coming out of Middle School.
