Marjory Stoneman Douglas’s wrestling team started their season in a tournament at Coral Springs High School on Friday.
Despite missing four starters, the Eagles finished in 4th place out of 15 teams. They finished only 8.5 points back of second place. MSD’s top wrestlers were Rocco Duygulu and Alexander Kooby. They each came in first place in their weight class. Head Coach Ken Gendasson felt the team did a great job in their first tournament of the year.
Next, MSD will compete in the Palm Beach Christmas Classic at Santaluces High School on Saturday, Dec. 10.
