
Marjory Stoneman Douglas Girls Wrestling. {MSD Wrestling}
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas wrestling teams are off to an impressive start this season, highlighted by a tournament championship from the boys team.
The boys captured first place at the West Palm Beach Christmas Classic, led by Keegan Lake, who won his weight class. Tim Carroll and Bryce Siddens each finished second in their respective weight classes, while Josh Lopez placed third. Caua Trindade and Luis Cardozo both added fourth-place finishes to round out a strong team performance.
The girls’ team also delivered an outstanding showing, finishing second overall at the 1st Annual Chris Hixon Classic. Ariana Blanc, Zeinab Mourad, and Samantha De Gance each won first place in their weight classes. Olivia Yakich and Addison McMahon earned second-place finishes, while Lily Torres placed fourth.
Earlier in the season, both teams opened competition at Hialeah Gardens High School, where they each placed in the top ten. The girls’ team finished fifth out of 33 teams, highlighted by first-place wins from Yakich, Blanc, De Gance, and McMahon. The boys’ team also placed fifth, with Josh Lopez and Keegan Lake each placed in the top five of their respective weight classes.
Next up, the boys’ team will compete at the GillisStrong Invitational at Archbishop McCarthy High School on December 19–20. Meanwhile, the girls’ team will wrestle at the Patriots Girls Round Robin at Somerset College Preparatory Academy South on Saturday, December 20.
