The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Parkland responded to various incidents between December 9 and 15, 2025. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement.
Information / Miscellaneous Incidents
School Bus Injury: A Broward County school bus attendant lost her balance when the bus braked and fell, suffering head and shoulder injuries. She was transported to Broward Health Coral Springs Hospital. The incident occurred near Trails End on Dec. 9.
Road Rage Incident: A resident reported a road rage incident that began at Hillsboro Boulevard and North University Drive and continued into the parking lot of Publix at 8095 N. University Drive. The incident occurred Dec. 8 and was reported Dec. 9.
Reckless Driving Complaint: A motorist reported a silver Lexus SUV driving recklessly westbound on Loxahatchee Road. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who said his wife may have been driving. The incident occurred Dec. 8.
Phone Scam Attempt: A resident reported receiving a call claiming she missed court and had a warrant for her arrest. No money was requested. The caller identified themselves as BSO employees. Reported Dec. 12.
Suspicious Behavior at Wawa: A caller reported that an unknown male approached her on two separate days at a Wawa located at 7705 N. State Road 7. The male allegedly sat in his vehicle for about an hour before leaving. Reported Dec. 12.
Broken Sprinklers: A resident reported broken sprinklers leaking near her building since Thanksgiving. A lawn care company was on site with a work order. Reported Dec. 13.
Landscaping Damage Complaint: A resident reported a landscaping company removing palm trees and damaging grass while using the sidewalk near West Hillsboro Boulevard and Parkside Drive. Reported Dec. 13.
Community Fountain Vandalism: Unknown person(s) placed soap in a community fountain on Osprey Trail. No damage to the pumps was found. Reported Dec. 14.
Juvenile Wandering Incident: A non-verbal autistic juvenile exited a residence through the garage while a guardian was in the bathroom. The child was located nearby unharmed. Reported Dec. 15.
Fraud
Fraudulent Account Opened: A victim reported discovering a fraudulent Bass Pro Shop account opened in her name after receiving delivered items. The incident occurred between Dec. 3–8 and was reported Dec. 9.
Identity Theft: A victim reported an unauthorized Verizon Wireless account opened under his name. The fraud occurred between April 2024 and Dec. 2025 and was reported Dec. 9.
Bank Scam: A resident was tricked into giving debit and credit cards to a suspect posing as a bank representative. The suspect attempted to transfer $15,500 and successfully withdrew $900 from an ATM. All funds were ultimately recovered. The incident occurred Nov. 18 and was reported Dec. 12.
Auto Theft
Vehicle Stolen: A silver 2013 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen from the employee parking lot at Palm Beach State College between the late evening of Dec. 9 and early morning Dec. 10.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: A separate stolen 2011 Hyundai Sonata was located during the above investigation and recovered. The vehicle showed ignition damage and was towed.
Burglary
Vehicle Burglaries: Three unlocked vehicles were entered overnight on Dec. 10. Items stolen included a wallet, debit card, driver’s license, and sunglasses. A fraudulent debit card charge was later made at a Miami smoke shop. Estimated loss: $600.
Criminal Mischief
Paint Vandalism: Unknown suspect(s) threw red paint on a resident’s front door and two vehicles. The estimated cleanup cost was $200. The incident occurred overnight Dec. 14–15.
Fire
Kitchen Fire: A cardboard box placed on a stove caught fire, causing damage to the kitchen. The fire was contained and did not spread to the rest of the home. Reported Dec. 13.
Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal)
A victim reported a threatening video message from her estranged husband referencing burning down their home amid divorce proceedings. No physical threats were made. Reported Dec. 9.
Two individuals damaged each other’s vehicles during a verbal dispute related to infidelity. Both declined to press charges. Reported Dec. 11.
A verbal argument between a father and son occurred when the son attempted to leave the residence. No physical altercation took place. Reported Dec. 14.
Baker / Marchman Act
Deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated female making suicidal statements and threats toward a family member. She was transported to a behavioral health facility for evaluation. Reported Dec. 13.
Threat Assessment
A behavioral threat assessment was conducted on a juvenile male at Westglades Middle School. The Threat Management Unit was notified. Reported Dec. 11.
Arrests
Cynthia Little, 51, was arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor – parent failure to require school attendance on Dec. 9 in Parkland.
