Theft & Property Crimes
Retail Theft: On May 21, an unidentified female stole approximately $10 in merchandise from Wawa at 7705 N. State Road 7. She placed items into a large canvas bag and fled the store on a bicycle. Video surveillance was provided.
Bicycle Theft: A student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School reported his bicycle stolen from the school’s south bike rack between May 7 and May 22. Estimated loss: $300.
Lost Wallet: On May 19, a man reported losing his wallet near Seabra Foods. The wallet contained $40, three credit cards, and a Florida driver’s license.
Lost Watch: A man lost his Apple Watch at his girlfriend’s home on May 23. He later tracked the device to a Boca Raton address and filed a report to request law enforcement assistance.
Vehicle Damage: A woman driving a 2025 red Tesla struck metal debris on Loxahatchee Road on May 25, resulting in damage to both right-side tires. She filed a report for insurance purposes.
Fraud & Harassment
Identity Theft: A resident reported possible identity theft on May 23 after noticing unauthorized changes to their USPS address and credit card accounts.
Stalking: A woman reported receiving harassing texts and voicemails from her ex-friend’s family in Michigan between May 18 and May 25. No in-person contact has occurred. The case remains under investigation.
Domestic & Civil Disturbances
Domestic Verbal Dispute: On May 21, deputies responded to a verbal dispute between a married couple in the Cypress Head community. Both parties confirmed it was non-physical.
Family Dispute Over Property: A woman initially believed her residence had been burglarized on May 23 after discovering missing appliances and damage to a door. It was later determined that a family member with access had removed the items, resulting in a civil matter rather than a criminal case.
Juvenile & Mental Health Incidents
Runaways Located: On May 21, two missing juvenile girls were found at a nearby neighbor’s home. No foul play was involved.
School Bicycle Accident: A student at Westglades Middle School fell off his bicycle on May 23 while riding to school. The incident was documented for informational purposes.
Mental Health Crisis: On May 23, a woman was taken into protective custody under the Baker Act after expressing suicidal thoughts related to an impending eviction.
Individual with Knife: On May 24, a Coconut Creek police officer detained a man with autism who was found carrying a knife in Covered Bridge Park. His mother responded to the scene and took him home.

Suspicious Incident: On May 22, a caller reported a possible aggravated assault but gave inconsistent statements and stopped communicating with police.
