This is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through September 23, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents.
Disturbance
Information – Disturbance was reported on 09/17/2024. The reporting person advised that she and an unnamed customer were involved in a verbal altercation with a homeless male subject when he was asked to leave the business, and he refused. The employee and customer attempted to coerce the homeless male to leave. He was resistant but finally left without incident.
Burglary
Qualified Southern Utilities Inc was the victim of Burglary Conveyance at 15000 Loxahatchee Road, reported on 09/20/2024. While widening Loxahatchee Road, the work crew had a truck parked on the side of the road. A dark gray Chrysler 300, occupied by three male subjects, drove up; two exited, wearing hoods over their faces, then attempted to enter the work truck. The doors, however, were locked. The subjects then fled the area. The caller believes that the subjects were attempting to steal a Falcon F-5 locator, a tool used to control a drilling machine valued at more than $25,000.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 09/19/2024. The victim’s girlfriend signed a burglary victim affidavit.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 09/19/2024. A driver was attempting to merge into the northbound lane, approaching a roundabout, when a black Honda cut in front of her, and the driver slammed on his brakes. As the male subject exited his car to approach, the victim’s driver opened her driver’s door. The male shouted curse words at her and then spat on her chest area. The subject then got back into his car and left the area.
Lost Property
A victim of Lost Property was reported on 09/19/2024. The total estimated loss was $45. The victim advised that his backpack was lost or stolen at work.
Information
Information on Ranch Road was reported on 09/22/2024. An adult female was walking a horse when it was startled, causing it to shift to the side and bump into the adult female. As a result, the adult female fell to the asphalt, striking her back and head, causing her to lose consciousness briefly.
Arrests
Paraliticci, Daniel Alberto, 23, was arrested on 09/17/2024 on a charge of Warrant—Aggravated Cyber Stalking.
