Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through June 19, 2023.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on: 06/13/2023. The victim stated that his 2019 silver Land Rover was stolen from his driveway. The vehicle was unlocked with the key fob inside.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on: 06/16/2023. The victim’s car was parked in her driveway as she departed for the airport. When she returned home her 2021 Audi Q5 was gone. The fob was left inside the car.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on: 06/13/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,600. The victim reported her BMW was missing from the driveway, but she had tracked the vehicle to a location in Tamarac.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 66 Avenue was reported on: 06/14/2023. The victim’s 2020 Ford F250 FTX was taken from the driveway of the home.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 76 Street was reported on 06/13/2023. Unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle, ransacked the interior of vehicle, removed the vehicle registration and an insurance card.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 06/14/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,200. The victim stated that sometime overnight entered via unknown side door of her 2022 BMW 750i. Her credit card and ear pods were missing from the front of the car. Her suitcase, containing more than $1000 worth of girls’ clothing was taken from the trunk. Charges to the card were made in Miami and has since been canceled. The total estimated loss was: $112.51.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 63rd Place was reported on: 06/16/2023. The victim advised his unlocked Bronco was parked out in front of his home.
Battery By Strangulation
A victim of Battery By Strangulation on Loxahatchee Road was reported on: 06/19/2023.
Arrests
Mejia, Diego, 32, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Battery By Strangulation-Dating Relation on Loxahatchee Road on 06/19/2023.
