Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of incidents that occurred in Parkland through June 10.
Auto Theft
6500 block of Windsor Drive Muse Community
On June 14, BSO responded to the delayed auto theft of a White 2000 International 4300 truck that was stolen from the Muse Community while the doors were unlocked and the keys left inside the vehicle.
Burglary
6800 block of NW 117th Av.
June 15, BSO made contact with victim reference delayed residential burglary. An entry made through an unlocked rear sliding glass door — $ 1,250 in miscellaneous women’s jewelry taken.
Burglary Conveyance
6900 block of NW 87th Av.
On June 13, victim advised that overnight, two of his cars were entered, unlocked, in his driveway. A wallet, containing credit cards and a key lockbox were taken. Video and latents prints were obtained.
6200 block of NW 77th Pl.
On June 15, victim advised that her wallet was stolen overnight from her Ford Edge parked in front of her home. Several charges were made on two credit cards in Coral Springs establishments. Latents were obtained. An area canvas found two neighbors with security cameras. The footage is pending.
Found Property
6400 Hillsboro Blvd.
On June 16, a silver bag was found by park rangers. The bag and content were documented and placed into locker 12 for safekeeping.
Information
8800 block of Watercrest Cir E.
On June 12, BSO was called in reference to a civil matter. There was a custody dispute with mother and father. The mother advised she has a court order stating it was her designated day and time to pick up her son.
11000 block of Meridian Dr. N. Watercrest
On June 12, Deputies took a report from an adult regarding an email she received from her estranged biological father, asking that she meet with him or her siblings. No threats were reported or seen in the email, but the father was asked to cease further contact with her following a report of him being seen in front of her residence back in October 2018.
10200 block of Waterside Ct.
On June 12, the victim reported to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Parkland District, to file an information report that an unknown person utilized his identity to open an account with AT&T in Puerto Rico.
10500 block of Mira Vista Dr. Lennar
Between March 12 and June 11, delayed report of three General Electric dishwashers missing from three separate homes under construction.
9000 block of NW 66th Ln.
On June 13, BSO was called regarding a civil matter between caller and ex-boyfriend. She believes he was at her horse barn and left abruptly when she arrived.
10555 Trails End. Pine Trails Park
On June 13, a juvenile struck his head on the metal playground equipment. Coral Springs/Parkland Fire Department responded and determined the injury was minor, and no treatment was provided.
9000 block of NW 66th Ln.
On June 13, a civil-related information call, regarding ownership of horse riding equipment.
7600 block of Old Thyme Ct.
On June 13, the complainant is concerned that a tenant who vacated a rental property is returning to the property.
8200 block of Canopy Terrace.
On June 13, the victim reported to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Parkland District, to file an information report about a scam that occurred the previous day that involved her mother’s boyfriend and internet fraud that she became involved with.
6600 block of University Dr.
On June 14, complainant advised that an employee downloaded, without permission, extensive files on the corporate business to their personal I-Cloud.
7300 block of NW 61st Ter.
On June 15, Landlord/Tennant dispute
5800 block of NW 60th St
On June 16, BSO met with CPIS Investigator reference a Child Neglect complaint, but no contact was made due to no answer at the residence door.
Suspicious Incident
6000 block of NW 77th Dr.
On June 13, a car alarm was activated early that morning. Owner’s son observed a dark-colored Volvo driving away, no lights. Area canvas had negative results.
Theft
6600 block of NW 108th Ter.
On June 11, the victim stated pills were removed from his master bedroom bathroom drawer while it was being repaired, the only people given access to that room were three employees from Superior Frameless Shower.
10800 block of Estuary Dr.
Between June 11 and June 12, a 70″ LG Flat Screen TV worth $900 was taken out of his home. The house just finished construction, and a few trade workers had unsupervised access to the home.
10700 block of Pacifica Way
Between June 7 and June 14, a delayed theft occurred where an unknown person(s) removed a Sonos speaker from a newly-built house. There was nothing else of value in the home at the time. The house is currently under construction, and several workers from different trades have unsupervised access
