Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal)
July 1, 12:42 a.m. – A verbal disagreement occurred between a man and his girlfriend. No physical altercation was reported. The female left before deputies arrived.
July 2, 2:56 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute was reported. No crime occurred.
July 5, 10:35 p.m. – A husband and wife argued over household renovations. Alcohol was involved, but no crime was committed.
Information Reports
June 10 – A delayed report described a suspicious vehicle seen conducting a transaction near Fire Station 109.
July 1 – A resident turned in a wallet they found at the Parkland District Station.
July 2 – A mother reported that an older male threatened her son via a FaceTime video during a dispute involving two 10-year-old boys. No crime was committed.
July 3 – A woman reported receiving messages from a family co-parenting service amid an ongoing divorce.
July 4 – Coral Springs Fire Rescue was assisted by deputies for a non-criminal call. Also, a mailbox fire involving fireworks and a melted trash can was reported.
July 4 – An adult male was reported missing after taking his dogs for a walk. The dogs returned without him. A BOLO was issued, and search efforts included K-9 units.
Battery
July 1, 7:00 p.m. – During a custody exchange at the Wawa on N. State Road 7, a man reported being struck with a chicken nugget by his ex-wife’s boyfriend during an argument.
July 3, 8:10 p.m. – A woman was struck in the face by her sister during a family dispute. The offender also assaulted their mother and was arrested.
Property Damage
July 1 – A vehicle struck the security gate at Water’s Edge Estates. No injuries were reported.
July 3 – An unknown individual broke a park gate lock at Covered Bridge Park to allow a vehicle to exit.
Death Investigation
July 4 – A 93-year-old woman was found deceased. Coral Springs Fire Rescue responded and the body was released to a funeral home. No foul play is suspected.
Burglary
June 25–26 – A former Parkland resident reported a delayed vehicle burglary with an estimated loss of $19,256.
Missing Person
July 4, 9:35 p.m. – A man was reported missing after walking his dogs. A search was conducted using a bloodhound and specialized patrols.
Arrests
Shakeela George, 28, was arrested on July 3 for touch or strike battery/domestic violence following an altercation with her sister and mother in Heron Bay.
