Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through October 9, 2023.
Battery
Pacifica Way, on 10/03/2023.
While verbally arguing over personal property, the victim was body-slammed to the ground. She complained of head and back pain and was medically assessed by the Coral Springs Parkland Fire Department.
Fairfield St on 10/9/2023.
BSO responded to the above address about a battery. Upon arrival, the victim stated he was arguing with his neighbor across the street about their vehicle being parked on the street near his yard. The victim was arguing and said the neighbor’s wife approached him and started arguing, and her hand hit his face. The victim believes she tried to slap him on purpose. BSO met with the female later, who stated that the victim raised his arm at her within close distance, and she raised her arm reactively and defensively. The female said both of their forearms made contact, then she walked away, and police later arrived. The victim was provided information on case filing.
Domestic Disturbance
Solstice Cir on 10/03/2023.
BSO responded to the above address about a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they met with the reporting person, who advised her ex-boyfriend came home and slammed the door to the bedroom. The reporting person advised an argument escalated between the two. The other person said he was locked out of his own home, so he got frustrated. The involved other gathered his belongings and left for the night.
Found Property
University Dr, on 10/04/2023.
A wallet and two cellphones that had been in lost and found since March were taken as found property and placed into evidence.

NW 58th Way on 10/05/2023.
Allegation of animal abuse/neglect, unfounded.
10001 Old Club Rd 10/05/2023.
A worker was operating an industrial lawn mower that got too close to one of the lakes on the golf course but was able to jump off as the lawn mower sunk into the lake. He stated that his back hurt but refused fire rescue. He was sent home for the remainder of the day.
NW 99th Ave on 10/05/2023.
The reporting person stated his ex-landscaper, whom he has a financial judgment against, showed up at his residence. The reporting person advised they began to argue, and the subject cursed at him and left the residence.
NW 63rd Way, on 10/06/2023.
The reporting person advised her dog was bitten by the next-door neighbor’s dog.
NW 71st Ter on 10/07/2023.
A report of a heated text exchange between business partners.
Holmberg Rd 10/03/2023
One juvenile sent a Snapchat photo of his school ID card to a student in an ill-fated attempt at humor. The student wrote “school shooter” and snap-chatted it across the photo. This was done as a joke; the school handles it per the Broward County School discipline matrix.
Suspicious Person
Ginger Ct/Camden Ln, on 10/07/2023. The resident notified BSO regarding a BM/ walking in the street inside the community. The subject was trespassed after warning and escorted from the property.
Theft
Acadia Ct on 10/06/2023. Tot.Est.Loss: $70.
While working, the victim received an email notification from this credit card company advising that there were attempts to purchase $500 worth of electronics from a store in Pompano Beach. At this point, the victim realized his wallet was missing and began searching for it. The victim received a second notification that his car was attempted to be used for $10.69 a short time later.
Threat Assessment Report
Parkside Dr on 10/06/2023.
A suspect made a threat while holding scissors. A Broward County School Board Threat Assessment was completed. The school will give the student the appropriate discipline for his actions.
Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts
W Hillsboro Blvd on 10/08/2023.
A decal was stolen from a 2022 Hyundai Tucson while the victim was shopping at a store. The victim stated he noticed the decal on the vehicle when he was walking into the store and noticed it missing when he arrived home and was unloading the merchandise he purchased. The victim did not see anyone around his vehicle when he left the store.
Arrests
An Arrest on charges of trespassing structure on NW 63rd Way was reported.
Ho, Nathan Chingbong, 24, was arrested on Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol charges at Pacifica Way, Parkland, on 10/03/2023.
