Dr. Leonard Kaufman, a Parkland urologist with more than 25 years of experience in men’s health, has opened a practice in Coral Springs to deliver preventive, personalized care focused on sexual health, hormonal optimization, and long-term wellness.
An MDVIP-affiliated doctor, Kaufman belongs to a national network offering a personalized, concierge-style healthcare model.
Kaufman’s new practice is among the first men’s health-focused offices within the MDVIP membership network, combining urology expertise with a prevention-oriented model that addresses sexual performance, cardiometabolic risk factors, and longevity.
After decades in traditional practice settings, Kaufman said he is embracing a model that provides more time and continuity of care.
Kaufman said, “Men typically come in because something doesn’t feel right, whether it’s performance issues, declining energy, or changes in how their body responds to exercise.”
Finally getting a diagnosis is incredibly gratifying, he added. It validates what they’ve been experiencing and gives them a path forward.
“My goal is to use those moments to look deeper, uncover underlying risks like cardiovascular disease or metabolic issues, and help men take control of their health — not just manage symptoms.”
According to a 2023 Cleveland Clinic survey, 44% of men skip annual physicals, even though most believe they are living healthy lifestyles. Many seek medical care only when problems arise, and concerns related to sexual health, energy levels, or hormone changes can be early indicators of more serious underlying conditions.
Kaufman said his new practice is structured to transform those initial concerns into opportunities for prevention. The membership-based model supports comprehensive wellness evaluations, advanced diagnostic testing, proactive follow-ups, and ongoing monitoring.
According to him, by maintaining a smaller patient panel, he can offer longer appointments, same- or next-day visits, and after-hours communication when needed.
The practice also emphasizes accessibility within South Florida’s diverse communities. Kaufman, who is fluent in English and Spanish, said approximately 30% of patient interactions are conducted in Spanish.
“In many cases, being able to speak with patients in their primary language, whether that’s English or Spanish, immediately builds trust,” Kaufman said. “When men feel understood and at ease, they’re far more likely to open up about concerns they might otherwise keep to themselves.”
The practice, located at 5411 N. University Drive in Coral Springs is currently enrolling patients. For more information, visit the website or call 954-228-0924.
